Payments Internal Communications Associate

J.P. Morgan Payments is seeking someone proactive and detail-oriented to support key Payments communications objectives. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with thousands of employees using various channels and mediums. You should also be a strategic advisor and project manager, developing and executing communications plans that deliver on our priorities.

As an Internal Communications Associate you will play a crucial role in promoting strategic priorities for the Payments business where you will be expected to execute tactically, delivering excellent and cohesive communications materials in support of multiple business leaders. You must be able to prioritize, influence and work effectively in a matrixed environment, as this role requires close collaboration with senior product leaders, product marketing teams, legal, business management, compliance, sales, and other business functions. In addition, you will collaborate across the Payments communications team (internal, external and editorial), as well as with the Corporate and Investment Bank and other firm-wide communications teams.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Internal Communications team to draft and deliver communications materials, aligned with the broader editorial calendar.
  • Support senior leadership teams in implementing consistent messaging across the business.
  • Source and draft articles for the intranet, supporting business priorities.
  • Produce regular business-wide communications in accordance with business priorities and Payments communications standards.
  • Track key performance metrics and develop reporting in accordance with Payments communications and firmwide best practices.
  • Manage communications tools needed to execute across key channels.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years of work experience with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, communications or other related area.
  • Working knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution.
  • Passion and creativity for storytelling, with the ability to breakdown complex subjects for diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical, strategic approach to problem solving and finding solutions.
  • Comfortable navigating matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint and intranet technology.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism; experience in public relations
  • Solid understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Additional software skills (e.g., Photoshop, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite)
