As a Payments Controls - Regulatory Change Manager - Vice President within the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE) team, you will be responsible for promoting the regulatory change management process across the wider Payments organization. Your role will also involve participating in the delivery of firm-wide regulatory and control activities. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to the global regulatory change program, which integrates the expertise of Legal, Lines of Business (LoBs), Controls, Compliance, Risk, and other key control functions. Your role will be instrumental in proactively managing regulatory changes and tracing end-to-end connections between laws, rules, and regulations, and our policies and procedures that demonstrate compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyse and succinctly summarise regulations impacting Payments
  • Lead and participate in regulatory impact forums and work with the business and legal counsel to perform impact assessments of regulations for Payments products
  • Work with global Control Managers, Legal, Compliance and business managers to ensure regulations are assessed and dispositioned accurately, efficiently, and timely
  • Track regulations, through the regulatory change life cycle to ensure operational readiness is accurately recorded
  • Liaise with the GRDE team to ensure mapping of legal obligations to business and operational procedures are performed, as required
  • Partner with colleagues to ensure global consistency and quality of output from the team, including ability to conduct quality reviews of the team's deliverables
  • Develop a strong network of internal stakeholder relationships to help support the delivery of the regulatory change agenda and identify and implement process efficiencies
  • Build and maintain trust by proactively addressing stakeholder concerns and ensuring their needs are met within the control framework

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of financial products and services for the Payments business and for financial regulations.
  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to conduct regulatory impact assessments
  • Experience in Legal, Compliance, Business Controls, Audit, or similar function. Ability to demonstrate a quality focused work ethic and strong controls mind-set, with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with key stakeholders and facilitate stakeholder meetings across business and corporate functions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders and prioritise multiple deliverables, ensuring timely escalation of key risks/issues
  • Ability to summarise large amounts of data into clear actionable components, formulate appropriate conclusions, make subjective and informed decisions based upon output, and justify decision making

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Relevant years of financial service experience in Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance or Business Controls, with a regulatory centric focus
