As a Control Manager Vice President within the Payments Controls Team, you will partner with the three business stripes in Kinexys to assess operational risks and implement controls. You will lead governance and control forums, manage relationships with the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense, and participate in regulatory engagements. This high-visibility role requires outstanding communication skills, project management discipline, and a strategic risk assessment mindset.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage control-related activities, including risk event data occurrences and new business initiatives.
  • Partner with colleagues across the firm to drive consistent operational risk practices and control programs.
  • Establish control governance and reporting to identify meaningful metrics and manage control committees.
  • Partner with legal and compliance to ensure business compliance with JPMC's Firmwide Policy and Standards.
  • Provide leadership support for the execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) framework.
  • Work with urgency on emerging issues and lead by example to inspire confidence in staff and partners.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Extensive relevant industry experience, ideally with strategic, business management, and financial experience.
  • Confident leader with the ability to influence outcomes and get the best from people.
  • Ability to synthesize information and communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Solution-oriented with excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in change management and transformation, with the ability to influence teams.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroups.
  • Proven ability to achieve quality results in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Experience in control management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and its applications in payments.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial industry.
