Job Summary:

As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst you will be responsible for processing transactions and ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices for various counterparties and brokers. Key responsibilities include meeting service levels, managing production workflows, and providing training. You will supports strategic business initiatives, workflow design, and the implementation of departmental goals and objectives. It requires adherence to company policies and the execution of special projects in a cost-effective manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance management cycle, including objective setting, development and career planning, performance appraisal, and reward & recognition for the team.
  • Maintain effective Standard Operational Procedures.
  • Improve and maintain a controlled environment by implementing necessary control activities and ensuring team members understand risks and related controls.
  • Manage relationships with internal teams, anticipate needs, take feedback, and run conference calls.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations and high-priority requests from internal clients. Send early warning reports if workloads impact turnaround time or quality parameters.
  • Ensure the quality of work submitted and maintain the highest standards.
  • Identify and manage risk and control breakdowns. Conduct regular team meetings, 1:1s, and coaching sessions.
  • Manage projects and other initiatives as required. Ensure all day-to-day queries are dealt with within required SLAs and escalate issues to the immediate manager.
  • Maintain and publish weekly and monthly KPIs alongside the Manager and participate in discussions with onshore management and teams.
  • Encourage and practice efficient cost management.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Graduates with minimum 8 years of experience in a bank, financial services, or other service sector environment, or qualified professionals (e.g., CA, ICWA, MBA) with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong business knowledge, including investment banking and product knowledge in derivatives, fixed income, and equities.
  • Working knowledge of reconciling security & NOSTRO positions, TLM breaks, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation, etc.
  • Knowledge of accountancy, journal entries, general ledger, bookkeeping, etc.
  • Working knowledge of industry systems like TLM (Trade Lifecycle Management) and E-PI (e-Serve Payments Initiation).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and prioritize team's work to achieve them.
  • Flexibility to work global hours and willingness to travel globally.
  • Knowledge of Prime Brokerage/Clearing business and relevant regulations in the US/UK market.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Strong planning, negotiation, and analytical skills.
