Job Summary:
As a Executive Pastry Chef within our Client Dining Management Team, you will ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, service excellence, and operational effectiveness through the management of kitchen activities and menu design. Ensure that kitchen facilities meet sanitation requirements, accident prevention measures and control effective par stocks of food.
Job responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted partner to the Executive Chef, always maintaining positive working relationships and clear communication with cross-functional teams.
- Develop recipes to ensure that quality & presentation meet all levels of culinary excellence.
- Continuously provide leadership and guidance to staff and assist on the line as needed.
- Supervise and expedite all pastry, bakery and bread baking items and provide quality control standards on taste and presentation.
- Build and maintain a sound working relationship with all staff and other departments, provide mentorship and coaching & training.
- Attend weekly catering meeting and create production list according to business demands.
- Review Banquet Event Orders daily to ensure adequate preparation of pastry items.
- Provide menu recommendations for future menu development, holidays, special events.
- Review all pertinent food and beverage requisitions, inter-kitchen transfers and production quantities, and verify all special food requests with the Executive Chef.
- Ensure adequate sanitation practices are being followed.
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to total quality efforts by striving for continual improvement, work cooperatively as a team member.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment

- Strong work ethic, team player, and customer-focused approach
- Prepare food to guest specifications in a timely manner.
- Prepare and produce a variety of high-quality dishes as per guest orders, while following approved recipes & specifications in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation and execute with precision.
- Ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet JPMC standards.
- Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
- Demonstrated experience with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Utilize the computer system and to read all orders.
- Perform work on different outlets as per business demands.
