This role is a crucial part of the Business Control Management (BCM) team in Paris, focusing on the control agenda and governance for the Markets Trading businesses across all asset classes. The BCM role is evolving to meet increasing demands, with a focus on governance, control enhancement, and execution across Business, Operations, and Technology. The BCM team is responsible for the first line of defense governance and controls for J.P. Morgan's Corporate and Investment Bank, maintaining a strong control environment and implementing a best-in-class supervisory culture.
As a Paris Markets Trading Business Control Manager (BCM) Associate within the Business Control Management (BCM) team, you will play a key role in leading the control agenda and governance for the Markets Trading businesses in France across all asset classes. You will focus on governance, ownership, enhancement, and execution of controls, covering the Business, Operations, and Technology. You will represent the Front Office in control and regulatory matters, implement business control strategies, manage risk governance, and collaborate across the firm to ensure consistent risk practices. This role provides an opportunity to influence business practices, promote change through risk evaluation, and develop resiliency plans. You will also support audits and regulatory exams, ensuring a strong and consistent control environment across the firm.

Job Responsibilities
- Represent Front Office in control and regulatory matters.
- Implement business control strategies and manage risk governance.
- Provide supervisory management for the Front Office.
- Collaborate across the firm to ensure consistent risk practices.
- Influence business practices and drive change through risk evaluation.
- Review and implement firm-wide policies.
- Address control issues and operational errors with risk analysis.
- Facilitate supervisory controls and exception management.
- Develop resiliency plans and support audits and regulatory exams.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 3+ years in Markets, Risk & Controls, or related fields in global banking.
- Understanding of Markets products and EMEA regulations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills in English and business-level French.
- Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership
- Good organizational skills - manages & prioritizes multiple tasks across different time horizons within deadlines
