DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Structure, negotiate, and execute complex leveraged finance transactions by steering internal approval and preparing materials for multi-billion dollar debt commitments, including term loans and high yield bond closings. Analyze accounting and regulatory statements, financials projections, and financial models in order to create projections for deal teams, including direct lending, credit, coverage, financial sponsors, and ratings advisory groups. Assist clients in interacting with rating agencies and obtaining a credit rating. Engage with institutional investors during the syndication of leveraged loans and high yield bonds. Work with clients, counsel, and other departments to lead executions on mandated transactions. Assemble presentations and information memorandums, sales memos, and other materials needed to get a deal into market, then support the selling effort by analyzing credit agreements and indentures, answering lender questions, and leading legal documentation negotiations in order to drive the closing process. Present transactions to investment banking committees, capital markets and salesforce. Prepare new business marketing materials for prospective corporate and private equity clients. Develop and manage relationships with clients. Liaise with external counsel, clients and senior bankers throughout the firm, including Coverage, Legal and Credit, to ensure seamless deal execution. This position requires up to 20% domestic and international travel to various client sites for client meetings, site visits, and deal roadshows/execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Origination/Client Manager, Investment Banker, Private Equity, Leveraged Finance, Credit Risk, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Origination/Client Manager, Investment Banker, Private Equity, Leveraged Finance, Credit Risk, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: credit terms; credit documentation; credit analysis; applying financial due diligence with respect to a company's strengths, strategies, credit risks and mitigants, historical and projected financial performance, and competitive positioning; pricing of debt instruments, including bank debt, institutional term loans, and high yield bonds; financial modeling, including constructing and analyzing comparables; financial analysis, including different variations of capital structures and projections based on varying degrees of assumptions; marketing directly to clients in order to sell deals to the investor community; coordinating with multiple parties to compile marketing materials, including rating agency and investor presentations, internal credit and capital market memos, and information and offering memoranda; negotiations with clients regarding credit terms; negotiations with investors regarding debt instrument fair value and appropriate documentation terms; and presenting to committees, sales forces, & investors.
Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. This position requires up to 20% domestic and international travel to various client sites for client meetings, site visits, and deal roadshows/execution.
Full-Time. Salary: $285,000 - $285,000 per year.
