Markets - Trading Support (12 month contract based) - Shanghai/Beijing

As a Trading Assistant in the Currencies and Emerging Markets, you will support to 6 traders in China, covering different products including FX Spot, FX Forwards, Bond, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Option etc. This role`s core responsibilities include trade capture in internal system and confirmation in external (CFETS) system, limit checking and maintenance, Position reconciliation and PnL analysis/investigation. He will also be involved in various projects & initiatives to support growing business & market expansion & regulatory requirement within a control & compliant environment.

Job responsibilities:

  • Trade capture and Booking
  • Assist in risk management in ensuring pricing for derivative instruments are correctly captured and risk profiles are correct as per trading and sales expectations.
  • Assist and support traders and marketers and clients through their daily queries.
  • Continuous project work involving process improvement, system implementation, new product or new market rollouts

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Trading Assistant/Trade Support
  • Previous exposure to FX and Rates products including Spot, FX Swap, CCS, IRS, Bond
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office and the ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Solid business judgments and positive attitude
  • Strategic thinking ability and passion for innovation & change management
  • Multi-tasking is essential: ensuring that the risk of each transaction is correctly recorded; maintaining a high level of client service, whilst at all times adhering to the controls and policies of the business.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and possess the mindset to seek continuous improvement in processes, controls, etc.
