The Markets Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) team supports the annual assessment process that enables the business to identify, measure, and manage compliance risk. The team covers the Commercial & Investment Bank's Markets Sales, Trading, Digital, and Research businesses across all regions and is part of the Markets Business Controls Management department in the 1st Line of Defense (1LoD).

As a Vice President in the Markets CRA team, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of CRA activities, manage a team across multiple jurisdictions, and ensure compliance with firm-wide CRA program requirements. Collaborate with key partners to address complex risk and control issues and maintain an evergreen risk and control mapping data.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the work of team members across multiple jurisdictions and act as the primary escalation point.
- Set targets for the team and be accountable for their delivery.
- Review and sign-off on the team's output, ensuring data quality and addressing challenges.
- Develop a high-performing team through coaching, training, and performance goal setting.
- Lead the team in decision-making and challenging risk, control, and issue applicability.
- Develop plans to manage increased volume and short-dated targets.
- Collaborate with OLO, LRCM team members, and CIB Control Officers on complex issues.
- Oversee processes to ensure risk and control mapping data remains current.
- Represent Markets in governance meetings and CRA review sessions.
- Report on the function's output to business executives through governance forums.
- Maintain SOPs for all team activities.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Vice President or equivalent position.
- Strong working knowledge of Markets products and services, control frameworks, and legal and operational risks.
- Significant experience in Business Controls, Business Management, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, or similar function.
- Experience managing and developing sustainable teams and process-oriented activities.
- Proven influencing skills and ability to make independent decisions with sound judgment.
- Strong project management skills and ability to instill structure, process, and accountability.
- Comfortable partnering closely with related functions at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to process while understanding the bigger picture.
- Strong listening, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Experience covering Markets Sales/Trading business(es).
- Knowledge of regulatory and control frameworks, including key regulators and regulations impacting Markets businesses.
