As an Associate in the Marketing Compliance - Communication Control Group as part of the wider Asset Management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client communications adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies. Your work will directly impact the firm's ability to deliver clear, compliant, and effective marketing materials to our retail, intermediary, and institutional clients. You will be part of a collaborative team that values open communication and teamwork, working closely with colleagues across the Asia Pacific region and globally. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity and success of our asset management business, providing you with the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the firm and the wider community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review medium and high-risk client communications and marketing materials for compliance.
  • Engage proactively in the review of globally distributed client communications.
  • Oversee low-risk materials self-certified by the business.
  • Provide day-to-day content advice to the business.
  • Participate in the preparation and delivery of marketing training across the business.
  • Ensure all areas of the business have appropriate policies and procedures in place.
  • Conduct regulatory filings as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment.
  • Collaborate with teams across APAC and globally to ensure consistent compliance practices.
  • Support marketing-related governance topics to facilitate effective business practices.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within asset management, legal, compliance, or controls.
  • Experience reviewing digital and social media communications.
  • Holder of Internal Control Officer or Sales Representative Officer under JSDA rules.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Japanese at a native level.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Practical working knowledge of all asset classes and financial instruments.
  • Experience working with system workflow tools.
  • Experience within a large global organization.
