As an Advanced Python and Machine Learning Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platform (IP) Storage Product Line, you will leverage your deep knowledge of advanced Python programming and machine learning techniques to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create secure and high-quality production code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, with expertise in advanced Python concepts and a passion for applying machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply machine learning algorithms and techniques to solve complex problems, using libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design machine learning models and algorithms that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Gather, analyze, and preprocess large, diverse datasets to train and evaluate machine learning models.
  • Apply advanced feature engineering techniques to extract meaningful insights from data and improve model performance.
  • Deploy and integrate machine learning models into production systems, considering the impact on upstream and downstream systems.
  • Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring their performance and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Python programming and machine learning techniques, and explore their potential applications within the organization.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Expertise in advanced Python programming concepts, including object-oriented programming, decorators, generators, and context managers.
  • Proficiency in coding in Python, with a focus on machine learning libraries and frameworks.
  • Experience in machine learning model development, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, training, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the field of advanced Python programming and machine learning.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Familiarity with AI/ML implementation in cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML deployment techniques, including model serving, containerization, and cloud-based deployment.
