Loan Origination - Operations Analyst

Deal Setup requires attention to detail, data-entry, and ability to interpret legal/credit documents. Data sourced from documents is used to enrich the loan system with customer/facility details as well as funding details, pricing rules, repayment schedules, and invoice set-up for principal, interest, and fees.

Job Summary

The Loan Origination Specialist IV is an experienced advanced-level processing role within Deal Setup. The candidate filling this position will be responsible for higher-complexity, fast-paced, periodic volume of work, that builds the foundation for career progression into a quality control role (subject matter expertise) or explore team leadership role (as a manager in training). Will be responsible for assisting with the entire team's portfolio of transactions (regardless of complexity) as a secondary source of work. Career progression is based on the following performance metrics: productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and contributions to the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Completion of assigned Deal Setup cases within designated Service Levels
  • Comparing booking package documentation & closing checklists against internal credit systems & proposals
  • Data entry of customer, facility, and loan details into the loan system(s)
  • Creation of PDF batch work for quality control/two-touch and document repositories
  • Timely attestation/correction of Quality errors and Service Level breaches
  • Maintain prompt and proactive communication with business partners as to the status of their booking case
  • Minimize credit and business risk through awareness of procedure, compliance, and bank policy
  • Participating in projects and working groups as required

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting preferred, 1 - 4 years of work experience, preferably in Banking/Mortgage/Financial Analysis and Loan Operations candidate should be open to work in night shifts
  • Successful completion of all periodic High Value Business Entitlements (HBVE) background checks, Prior (back office) loan operations and/or quality control experience in a banking or financial services industry preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Ability to adapt to internal tracking and monitoring systems.
  • Working knowledge of loan documents or ability to quickly learn legal terms found within promissory notes, credit agreements, collateral documents, etc.
  • Exceptional customer service skills including excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workloads while working within tight service levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy with completed work, Ability to consistently maintain high performance levels in stressful situations and high-volume peaks
