As a Loan Origination Associate I within the Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) team at JPMorganChase, your primary function will be supporting the facilitation of syndicated loans of Fortune 500 companies through the deal closing process to help ensure they reach their financial goals. While utilizing effective communication skills, it is important that you focus on partnerships between the front office, legal, transaction coordinators and the account servicing teams to deliver a first-class client experience.

Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) is part of the Commercial Bank. JPMorganChase Commercial Bank provides lending services to multiple business units across the firm and around the world. You will provide loan documentation, closing and funding, payment and fee processing, syndication loan trade processing, credit administration, collateral management, customer service and reporting; and construction management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret loan documentation for operational feasibility
  • Input loan specific information into various systems
  • Initiate and release principal and fee related payments associated with the closing
  • Partner closely with Transaction Coordinators through the closing process and ensure all regulatory and compliance documentation is received prior to the closing date
  • Manage pipeline of assigned transactions
  • Monitor and reconcile exception reports related to transactions recently closed
  • Partner with Account Managers to inform them of amendments made to existing agreements, and/or general deal structure characteristics prior to the formal handoff
  • Maintain a low Quality Control (QC) error rate regarding the deal set up process

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • General understanding of Finance and Loan products
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Highly motivated individual with a team-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated and client focused
  • Exceptional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Commercial Banking experience
  • Syndicated Loan experience
  • LOAN IQ experience
