Drive The Future

Drive the Future program participants will join the Legal OTS team in Colombia where you'll receive comprehensive training and coaching to develop your professional skills within our inclusive culture.

The Legal Department, specifically the Office of the Secretary (OTS), plays a crucial role in ensuring effective governance of JPM legal entities and branches. In Colombia, OTS provides governance support to local JPM entities, managing board and committee meetings, corporate filings, reports, and offering legal advice on regulatory matters. As a Legal OTS - Intern within the Subsidiary Corporate Governance team, you will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills in a dynamic and inclusive environment. You will be involved in coordinating meetings, reviewing legal documents, analyzing legal reforms, drafting minutes, completing corporate filings and reports, and assisting in special projects. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial system, stock exchange, corporate and banking law.

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinating meetings of the main corporate governance bodies
  • Reviewing legal documents, such as opinions and powers of attorney
  • Analyzing legal reforms that impact the corporate structure and obligations of the firm in Colombia
  • Drafting minutes of board of directors, risk committee and annual shareholder meetings
  • Completing corporate filings and reports as requested by internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting in other special projects, as may be assigned from time to time.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Law school students
  • Advanced English level
  • Knowledge of MS Office package, and
  • Interested in the financial system, stock exchange, corporate and banking law.
