The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for the provision of legal services to the Corporation and is organized by practice groups that generally align with the Corporation's lines of business and corporate staff areas. This structure encourages legal teams and businesses and staff areas to discuss legal, regulatory and business developments effectively and in a timely manner.

Office of the General Counsel (OGC) supports the Legal department's delivery of legal services through an application of Legal and other professional disciplines. Legal Third Party Oversight (TPO) is a division within the Office of the General Counsel that provides oversight of, and manages the relationships with, outside counsel engaged by JPMC. The primary role of the Legal Operations Analyst is to support various regulatory related projects, a team of attorneys involved in oversight activities, and other related functions. The position requires significant interaction with the attorneys and staff of the law firms providing services to JPMC.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect information from key internal stakeholders to formalize law firm communications, including Attorney Alerts and Surveys
  • Assist in the distribution and tracking of Attorney Alerts
  • Manage a high volume of general mailbox inquires for both internal and external (law firm) requests via email and/or the Outside Counsel Engagement Portal (OCE)
  • Monitor communications to and from law firms, and partner with the appropriate LOBs to address requests received in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain law firm contact information in relevant systems
  • Maintain and document the contract execution process as well as issue escalations and resolutions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree and/or minimum of 2 years vendor Third Party oversight or equivalent
  • Legal education or law firm /corporate legal experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English required (English proficiency and skill testing may apply).
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and pattern recognition skills with the ability to identify items that may require escalation and special handling
