As the Qualitative Risk Appetite Support, you'll be a key member of the EMEA Qualitative Risk Appetite Support Team, which is part of the EMEA Regional Control Management. Our team leads the coordination, execution, and strategic development of the Qualitative Risk Appetite (QRA) framework across the region. You will play a critical role in performing complex data and business analysis to support the quarterly creation of the Legal Entity QRA, while also partnering closely with Location Control Managers (LCMs) in EMEA to perform risk assessments. Job Responsibilities

  • Collate required data from a variety of sources
  • Execution of the data analysis and identification of trends quarter on quarter
  • Supporting the Qualitative Risk Appetite (QRA) support team lead with strategic development of the framework as it evolves including data source evolution, together with risk assessments and coordination of Legal Entity Qualitative Risk Appetite (LE QRA) program of work
  • Composition of the draft Qualitative Risk Appetite report using extracts from all of the required data sources, ready for coordination with risk stripe SMEs to provide qualitative commentary into the assessment
  • Establish strong relationships with the providers of our data sources, develop a deep understanding of the business profile of the legal entities that we are assessing as well as how the risk and control environment can influence our risk appetite statement.
  • In partnership with team members and location control managers, ensure timely and quality completion of data extract and analysis required to supporting the creation of the quarterly QRAs.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong team player with excellent partnering and influencing skill who is able to partner closely with peers who share the responsibility for data analysis and assessments across EMEA
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership and able to make constructive observations and recommendations
  • Good organizational skills - manages & prioritizes multiple tasks and high focus on quality
  • Investigative mind-set, able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail, and understand applicability across the business
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & process re-engineering skills, good judgment, maturity, and poise to identify risks and escalate where required
  • Excel, PowerPoint, and Analytical tool skills required
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, confident with communicating with and influencing stakeholders where appropriate

Preferred qualifications, capabilities , and skills

  • Previous experience in Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) / Controls, Alteryx Excel Data Transformation and Tableau Data Visualization and would be beneficial
