Join us as Vice President in Legal Entity Control and lead a dynamic team to drive financial excellence and innovation.

As a Vice President within the Legal Entity Controller team, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring we provide accurate and timely reporting to external stakeholders, playing an instrumental role in ensuring the Firms controls are operating effectively, partner with Businesses across the Group, providing guidance and support to all areas of the Firm in line with location and regional initiatives. The Legal Entity Controller team is responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, governance and control of Australia & New Zealand Legal Entities. This includes analyzing and reporting financial and management results to key internal and external stakeholders of the Australian and New Zealand entities.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 4 covering the Financial and Regulatory Reporting requirements for 4 Australian Legal Entities (subsidiaries).
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of the financials for head office submissions
  • Produce and review local annual audited financial statements
  • Partner with external auditors during the annual audit
  • Actively involve in preparation, review and finalization of monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory and statistical returns (APRA, ASX, ABS, ASIC) including ASX Capital Requirements. Investigation and response to regulator queries
  • Quarterly Board Reporting and regular Management Reporting to Senior Management
  • Capital and Dividend Planning
  • Ensure controls are operating effectively
  • Focus on continuous improvement of processes and controls
  • Oversee and guide offshore support staff with regular communications
  • Ad-hoc assistance to the broader LEC team and Senior Financial Officer as necessary

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry along with atleast 8 years of experience with financial institution covering Financial Statements production / oversight, Regulatory Reporting (APRA, ASX, ABS, ASIC).
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience dealing with External Audit
  • Thorough understanding of Financial and Regulatory Reporting Controls
  • Good analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
