Chile Legal Entity Controller Analyst is responsible for accuracy and understanding of the Chilean entities (4) financial statements and regulatory reporting, ensuring that accounting and regulatory reports are in compliance with local and corporate requirements.
Job Responsibilities
1. Financial & Regulatory reporting
Performs activities regarding accounting, financial statements, and regulatory reports preparation, that are generated by each legal entity (4) for corporate and local effects.
Analyzes and participate in the implementation of regulatory changes (Basel II-III, CMF) and new accounting standards (Local GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS)
2. Corporate Governance and balance structure

Generates regulatory metrics and reports.
Monitors and ensure compliance of regulatory limits required by the local regulator (CMF)
3. Accounting books, financial statements, and control
Ensures integrity of local and corporate financial statements for each of the Chilean legal entities
Ensures a consistent reconciliation process is in place, being responsible for the reconciliation and substantiation of a set of accounts.
4. Projects & New Product Initiatives
Participate in the implementation of Chile office projects (new systems, regulations, etc) or new products, taking leadership in some projects stages.
Takes leadership of some of the IB Finance Chile initiatives
5. Management information
Generates reports and analyze financial statements by each legal entities, that supports the decision-making process performed by senior management.
Requirements
- Professional with finance and accounting background.
- 2-3 Years of experience
- Knowledge in financial products (focus on derivatives)
- Understanding of Basel II-III, CMF regulations, Local GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS
- Fluid English
- Windows, Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Prior experience in similar positions is desirable
