As a leader in Project Execution, you will enable high-performing teams in envisioning and creating complex technology solutions in the AI/ML space across the firm. This prominent position combines strategic thinking - about industry trends, firm-specific initiatives and relevant technology - with a deep understanding for how to develop and implement programs that can be rolled out globally, and across multiple lines of business. You'll work closely with executive leadership across the firm to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the entire firm. Meanwhile, you'll ensure that your colleagues have the resources and guidance they need to deliver timely and relevant solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions
  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project and program momentum
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
  • Utilize advanced analytical reasoning to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team
  • Accountable for the successful management and delivery of multiple projects within the program/portfolio
  • Provide end to end project/program management across workstreams; responsible for the controlled end to end delivery of individual projects, partnering with the product leads where applicable
  • Establish and maintain a scalable governance and reporting framework around our existing product deliverables and launch and mobilize new initiatives from the ground up
  • Establish and maintain a strong communications framework to our internal, senior stakeholders
  • Responsible for all plans, milestones, action items, issues, risks and dependencies for individual streams, escalating as appropriate.
  • Partnership with cross-functional teams, e.g. Compliance, Product Managers, Business Managers, Technology, vendors, etc.
  • Track risks and dependencies across the portfolio of projects and manage communications and escalation to senior stakeholders accordingly
  • Create project charters, resourcing plans and define roles and responsibilities where applicable
  • Engage with appropriate SMEs to ensure appropriate definition of scope and implementation parameters and partner with the Research business where necessary to gather, manage and track business requirement

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
  • Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to establish productive working relationships and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams and clients
  • Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, including knowledge of vendor products and managing vendor relations, to enable on-demand access to shared pools of applications and services
  • Proven track record of effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
  • Familiar with task/project management such as Monday.com
  • AWS, GCP or Azure Cloud Migration projects: AWS cloud services such as EC2, EMR, RDS and Redshift will be a plus
  • Technical project management experience and the ability to manage projects no matter what the technology involved
  • Strong experience of working in significant programs of change within the financial industry
  • Proven track record of engaging with cross functional project teams, in a matrix team environment

  • Familiar with Confluence, JIRA and building dashboards and success metrics
  • Strong understanding of agile working practices - with the ability to adapt based on the project
