Lead Technical Program Manager

As part of Corporate Oversight & Governance Technology within Corporate Technology (CT), you'll be part of a team specifically being created built to drive and exceed our evolving technology needs. CT is responsible for global technology functions including Risk, Compliance, Finance, Liquidity, Reference Data, Legal and Controls.

As a Technical Project Manager within our AIML team, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the AIML strategic initiatives across multiple lines of business. Promoting complex projects on our AIML roadmap from initiation to implementation. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse internal teams and external partners, bringing structure and guidance to your projects. We value open and transparent communication, and you will be responsible for keeping a diverse range of stakeholders updated on project progress. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the continued maturity of our Technology function by bringing new ideas to the team.

Job responsibilities

  • Facilitates and drives complex projects on CT AIML roadmap from the early stage of initiation to final implementation and launch.
  • Evaluates and recommends technologies and solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations. Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executive leadership. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops contingency plans to address potential challenges. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives, key results (OKRs) and report on program outcomes.
  • Provides structure and guidance to your projects and be a pragmatic voice of reason within the delivery to ensure focus on key priorities.
  • Facilitates the day-to-day running of projects by organizing meetings, preparing and disseminating notes, and holding others accountable for their actions.
  • Builds strong and collaborative relationships across different departments, including internal teams (e.g. product and engineering, compliance, operations and investments) and with our external partners.
  • Identifies and mitigate risks associated with AI/ML projects, ensuring that potential challenges are proactively addressed to minimize disruptions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand, evaluate and translate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with excellent time management skills, who can work with high degree of independence and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Superb leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers.
  • Superior command of PowerPoint and Excel
  • Open and transparent with your work and the progress of the projects that you manage, ensuring that a diverse range of stakeholders are given sufficient updates by designing appropriate governance.
  • Pragmatic and delivery-oriented mindset, able to bring structure, clarity, and a bias to action.
  • A calm facilitator, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, who can manage and resolve tension and conflicts as well as influence others even if you do not have direct authority over them.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
