As a Lead Solutions Analyst in Compliance - Market Surveillance, you will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of our technical programs. Your extensive knowledge of Capital Markets applications, platforms, and products, particularly in fixed income, swaps, commodities, and FX markets, will enable you to serve as a crucial link between product owners, business teams, operations, and software developers. By leveraging your advanced analytical skills and technical expertise, you will convert complex business requirements into clear, actionable, and technically sound solutions. You will make data-driven decisions and offer strategic insights to advance key business initiatives. As a technical subject matter expert, you will adeptly handle ambiguity, manage change efficiently, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of quality and professionalism in service delivery.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead Facilitate gap analysis sessions with upstream systems to gather and document comprehensive requirements and demonstrate the ability to analyze large datasets by writing queries across various on-premises and cloud databases.
  • Apply advanced data analytics techniques to derive insights from extensive and diverse datasets, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting critical business initiatives.
  • Possess experience in Agile development, particularly with SCRUM or similar methodologies, while working in diverse, geographically distributed teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure, taking ownership of issues with a strong sense of urgency to resolve problems and propose solutions.
  • Mentor and guide team members in developing their technical writing and analytical reasoning skills, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in solutions analysis, technical program delivery, or a related field
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Extensive domain knowledge of trade products and workflows, including the roles of front office, middle office, back office, and settlement systems.
  • Previous experience in the capital markets domain with a solid understanding of financial products such as fixed income, equities, FX, commodities, futures, options, and swaps.
  • Experience with trading systems, regulatory environments, controls, or compliance-focused applications and systems.
  • High level of expertise in data management, encompassing all aspects of data handling and integration across various data sources throughout the entire data lifecycle, from business requirements analysis and data feed definition to data mapping and feed testing.
  • Proficient in SQL and data analysis, with hands-on experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience working with large datasets for data retrieval, analysis, and deriving insights to recommend solutions to business challenges.
  • Skilled in collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and document functional requirements and produce detailed functional specifications.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience of Scrum Master/ Product Owner roles on enterprise project teams
  • Experience with Data lake, Data Mesh
  • Unix and Data Warehousing experience is a plus.
  • Implementation experience of QlikView/ Tableau / Alteryx is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS, Databricks
  • Hands-on Data Modeling experience - creation of conceptual, logical and metadata models
  • Experience with systems automation technologies.
