As a seasoned member of our Software Engineering Group, your expertise will be crucial in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. You'll work closely with stakeholders, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

The Partner Channel product engineering group, where you'll be based, is pioneering new products to enhance the experience for Chase partners across multiple business lines. In this dynamic, startup-like environment, you'll work on various groundbreaking products, making Chase the go-to consumer bank for partner integration

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Partner Channel product engineering group, you will build data solutions that enhance partner experiences and expand our customer value proposition. Your deep knowledge of the end-to-end data process from data acquisition, to processing, to storing, to distributing, to presenting and developing meaningful insights will be key. You will develop, construct, test & maintain data architectures. As a lead, you'll ensure that solutions are elegant, resilient, of the highest standards, and adhere to firm-wide risk and architecture guidelines.

Job responsibilities

  • Work with a team that develops smart and scalable solutions and provide a solid experience for our partners.
  • Help us scale and deepen our partner relationships with clever data solutions
  • Continue to position us in the lead among competitors.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Computer Science / Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Experience with Big Data & ETL tools like Pentaho, Hadoop, AWS Glue
  • Advanced knowledge of Databases Management, Relational & Non-Relational Databases (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Exposure to Snowflake and reporting tools like Tableau, Grafana
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages in particular, the Java/J2EE stack
  • Experience building SaaS platforms, tools & services for engineers.
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture & application design processes.
  • Strong coding fundamentals - Algorithms & Data Structures
  • Passion for automating & excelling at identifying gaps in processes.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Working knowledge of APIs - RESTful APIs, Web Services, Spring Boot
  • Angular JS, React and/or JavaScript UI development is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (BitBucket, Git)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Experience with Python.
