Lead Software Engineer - Oracle HCM Talent Management

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Workforce Technology Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Improve, design, optimize, and deliver an Oracle HCM application of a SaaS product
  • Maintain business processes, including configuration documents, JIRA practices, and SR tracking.
  • Consult and sustain HCM Talent Management as needed
  • Gain experience with Oracle OTBI and HDL/HSDL
  • Ensure security and release processes are followed to reduce risk.
  • Protect and ensure data privacy and compliance with regulations.
  • Actively apply lessons learned to limit production defects and collaborate with Oracle on service requests.
  • Review Oracle release notes in advance and conduct impact analysis.
  • Meet design deliverables and deadlines with consistent follow-through and independent work.
  • Complete functional testing of enhancements to minimize defects, quickly problem-solve, and identify root causes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture.
  • Strong experience in Oracle Talent Management and Visual Basic Studio.
  • Maintain business processes, including configuration documents, JIRA practices, and SR tracking.
  • Ability to consult and sustain HCM Talent Management.
  • Provide clear and concise communication and respond in a timely manner.
  • Ensure security and release processes are followed to reduce risk.
  • Protect and ensure data privacy and compliance with regulations.
  • Quickly problem-solve and identify root causes.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Oracle HCM Talent Management Certification preferred
  • Desired experience with Oracle OTBI and HDL/HSDL
  • Desired experience with Oracle APIs
  • Desired experience with Service Now
