As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase as a part of the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) Applied AIML Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to push the limits of what's possible. You will be developing and maintaining web applications using Python and TypeScript, working on both front-end and back-end components. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists to develop production-quality software supported by cutting-edge AI/ML tools and frameworks, including large language models (LLM). This role provides an exciting opportunity to impact your career and contribute to architecture decisions, engage with user experience and design specialists, and manage and optimize infrastructure using advanced tools.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop server-side applications using Python
- Build responsive UIs with TypeScript / React / Svelte / Vue
- Design and consume RESTful APIs
- Participate in and drive design discussions, contribute to architecture decisions
- Engage with user experience and design specialists
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, follow SDLC best practice
- Manage and optimize infrastructure using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience
- Significant experience in full stack development
- Proficient in server-side and front-end technologies (Python, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
- Practical experience with cloud platforms, e.g. Kubernetes, AWS
- Experience communicating with business facing customers and technical teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Practical experience leading and mentoring small development teams
- Practical experience deploying LLM applications into production
