J.P Morgan is currently seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer skilled in Python and TypeScript to develop and maintain web applications. You will work on both front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

You will become a part of the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) Applied AIML Engineering team, collaborating closely with Data Scientists to develop production-quality software supported by cutting-edge AI/ML tools and frameworks, including large language models (LLM).

  • Develop server-side applications using Python
  • Build responsive UIs with TypeScript / React / Svelte / Vue
  • Design and consume RESTful APIs
  • Participate in and drive design discussions, contribute to architecture decisions
  • Engage with user experience and design specialists
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, follow SDLC best practice
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience
  • Significant experience in full stack development
  • Proficient in server-side and front-end technologies (Python, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms, e.g. Kubernetes, AWS
  • Experience communicating with business facing customers and technical teams
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Practical experience leading and mentoring small development teams
  • Practical experience deploying LLM applications into production
