As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, Neovest Technology Direct,, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Utilize innovative approaches to solve complex technical problems.
  • Write secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others to ensure quality and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to enhance the operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and their applicability within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Foster communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Develop and test C#/.NET applications for the Windows environment.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in C#/.NET development.
  • Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
  • Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
  • Proficient in SQL.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with the .NET Framework (in addition to .NET Core).
  • Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
  • Experience with Entity Framework and ADO.NET.
  • Experience with T-SQL and SQL Server.
  • Experience with multithreading.
  • Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.
