As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Review of epics and stories provided by business, product owners or business analysts and turning those into technical designs and development
- Define design and architecture for all solutions built as part of the project
- Contribute individual development across some or all of the various components of the system, including web front-end and back-end services
- Review and oversee the contributions of other developers in the team
- Face and manage business and technology stakeholders across the organization, including front-office business, product owners, other technology teams and technology/business management.
- Follow and promote Agile practices like Scrum and TDD/BDD
- Ensure consistency with and synergy across the global platform by collaborating regularly with peers across the global team.
- Actively involved in supporting the platform across all environments, including production in a devops model

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Proficiency in Java Programming
- High level of analytical and conceptual thinking required
- Skilled in Spring and micro-services architecture
- Solid architectural and design skills
- Experience in building/overseeing Angular applications development
- Experience in building cloud native applications or containerization - with experience in Kubernetes and/or AWS.
