DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Execute creative software solutions, design, develop, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years (84 months) of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience with the following: Agile SDLC; Waterfall SDLC; J2EE; Jenkins; Spring; Hibernate; HTML; Java; Javascript; JQuery; React JS; Figma; Sketch; MSSQL; SQL; Typescript; Angular; REST; SOAP; Kubernetes; Dynatrace; MongoDB; GIT; Functional Testing; Manual Testing; and Unit Testing.

Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
