As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Software Defined Storage Organization in Infrastructure Platforms , you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge and display hands on experience regarding all storage products, managing large storage infrastructure setups at scale using software control planes, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a good understanding in a peer dependent domains like networking and compute domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage Storage Delivery Management: Serve as the face of the storage team in Singapore, liaising with global teams in NA and India, and support leadership and teams during APAC production hours.
  • Provide Storage Solutions Expertise: Proficient in IP Block, FC Block, File, and Object storage solutions, with hands-on experience in products like PowerFlex, SolidFire, PowerMax, CDOT, Isilon, StorageGRID, VMAX, Cisco, Brocade, and 3PAR.
  • Handle Incident and Crisis Management: Skilled in managing critical incidents and crisis situations, ability to be hands on and solve customers and provide necessary data as required for consumptions and derive problem conclusions with effective communication across regional leadership and global storage/management teams.
  • Provide Audit Support and Triage: Single point of contact for audit requests for information (triage requests and route to correct team); Support the regional technology audits related to storage and effectively communicate with auditors.
  • Align with Business : Ability to understand local business needs and implement cost-effective, performance-efficient storage solutions in line with global standards. Understand and provide support for significant global technology projects in APAC from storage perspective.
  • Manage Data Center Operations: Experienced in managing major data center activities such as power downs/ups, migrations, and resizing, while adhering to global engineering standards and understanding regional requirements.
  • Provide Lifecycle Management: Deep understanding of the storage technology lifecycle, from deployment to decommissioning, including build processes, maintaining patching cycles, capacity management, and modernization/refresh.
  • Provide Local Support and Partnership: Provide comprehensive support for local data centers, collaborating with global teams including Compute and Network as well as APAC storage vendors (ex. DELL, NetApp, Cisco, and Brocade).
  • Manage Vendor and Contract : Manage purchase orders, maintenance, service, and support contracts for new and existing products/hardware/capacity deployments in APAC data centers, working closely with local business teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science related disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience at Senior level with at least 12 years in storage management and data infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in the specified storage technologies and products.
  • Strong skills in data management and protection practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural, geographically dispersed team environment.
  • Project management experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SNIA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) .
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones is essential.
