As part of delivering and driving our organizations Product Strategy we are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Infrastructure Engineer who can help accountable for roadmap realization and performance as well as the overall health and value delivered by the product. In this role our candidate will partner with our customers and stakeholders to identify their needs and align them with the overall Product goals, aligned to the modern architecture standards set for the organization.

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Product Strategy department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product roadmap and ensuring the product's overall health and value. Your responsibilities will include closely collaborating with customers and stakeholders to align their needs with our product objectives, while adhering to the modern architecture standards set by the organization. This position provides the opportunity to work with diverse teams, manage crucial relationships, and contribute to technological modernization initiatives.

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to delivery infrastructure services for Core Networks
  • Partner closely with Technology and Engineering leads to accelerate hiring and team development.
  • Collaborate with other customers, product lines, network operations and Architecture and Engineering teams to align with overall strategy and avoid duplication of efforts.
  • Deliver business and technical Infrastructure requirements.
  • Partner with agile lead to adopt and improve agile practices.
  • Help to accelerate tech modernization efforts.
  • Manage key relationships and communications with stakeholders and vendors including to senior executives.
  • Participate and facilitate meetings as required.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on technical and network design concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 10+ Years of technical and network design experience within a large enterprise environment
  • Strong knowledge in Data Center Products - Cisco ACI, Cisco NX-OS and Arista EOS.
  • Experience in various routing technologies (BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), OSPF, IS-IS)
  • Experience with Cisco products (routing/switching--Nexus Series, Catalyst, etc.) or relevant experience in key competitor offerings (i.e., Arista)
  • Experience in SDN/overlay networks (Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), VMware NSX, MP-BGP EVPN/VXLAN)
  • Working knowledge of Amazon AWS (Amazon Web Services) VPC and related experience (EC2, Transit Gateway, NAT (Network Address Translation) Gateway etc.
  • Proficient in one programming language (ex. Python)
  • Infrastructure as code exposure (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Working knowledge of REST/JSON web service API (Application Programming Interface) implementation
  • Working knowledge of Amazon AWS (Amazon Web Services) VPC and related experience (EC2, Transit Gateway, NAT (Network Address Translation) Gateway, IGW, Flow Logs, Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall), Cloud proxy)

  • Demonstrated ability to automate processes and tasks.
  • Understanding or have experience with Agile and Lean philosophies, including experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience managing high-performing teams and supporting a culture that attracts, retains and develops top talent.

  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills
  • Commitment and self-motivation suitable to a start-up team
  • Effective written and verbal communicator with excellent reasoning, organizational and presentation skills to both technical and product audiences, including senior executives.
