Lead Infrastructure Engineer

The ideal candidate will apply their technical expertise and problem-solving skills to projects of moderate scope, driving workstreams and projects involving infrastructure engineering technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of SIP deployments, call routing, and network automation, as well as a commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, ensuring successful outcomes and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive workstreams or projects involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, with a focus on voice and video platforms.
  • Collaborate with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize technology processes.
  • Execute creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of problems of moderate complexity.
  • Consider upstream and downstream data and systems or technical implications, advising on mitigation actions to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead and support a small team of Infrastructure Engineers to successfully deliver essential capabilities.

Technical Requirements:

  • Expert experience with large SIP deployments and call routing utilizing SBCs, preferably Ribbon SBC and PSX.
  • Expert experience in SIP troubleshooting using Wireshark and other VoIP analyzer tools.
  • Expert experience with ISDN and IP/SIP trunking with telco providers.
  • Intermediate experience with TLS/MTLS/SRTP system integrations.
  • Intermediate experience with SIPREC call recording.
  • Beginner experience with Cisco and Genesys voice platforms.
  • Beginner experience with deploying communication systems into cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.
  • Experience in network automation and scripting languages such as Python.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5+ years applied experience with infrastructure design, engineering and implementation experience within a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex voice and video network issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
