DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Support DB and Exadata infrastructure (Engineered system for database) for various applications with various flavors like X3, X4, X6, X7, X8 and X9 for Production, QA, Test, Dev environments. Upgrade of Exadata Infrastructure Image to higher approved version on Cell servers, DB compute nodes, and other components like Switch, ILOMs, Power distribution units(PDUs) for various Exadata models. Upgrade of Engineered Backup solution Zero data loss recovery appliance (ZDLRA) appliance to higher image version and higher software Recovery Appliance version. Migrate non-container database to Multitenant container databases on Exadata X9 platforms including Bi-directional and Uni- directional goldengate(Database replication software) setup with multi-data center layout. Provide Database infrastructure and application level oncall support for weekdays and weekend as per rotation basis. Support Engineered Storage solution-ZFS and upgrade of ZFS appliances to approved engineered version. Support Grid and Database patching of current databases to latest version as per Quarterly patch cycle for production, standby and non-prod databases. Install of Goldengate software (Database Replication software) for replication (Uni-directional- oneway as well as bidirectional- two way) as per application requirement, Support the latest Goldengate processes for various changes and troubleshooting replication lag issues. Support HW and SW level maintenance for Exadata components, Coordinating with Oracle platinum support for Hardware replacements etc. Support application level changes, Ad-hoc requests for various Production, development, QA databases. Adhere and implement compliance related standards in databases. Participate in Quarterly DR test for various Critical production applications and providing required support. Troubleshoot DB level and Exadata infrastructure level issues, providing resolutions and implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, Business Administration, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Infrastructure Engineer; Sr. Database Administrator; Technical Lead; Sr. Software Engineer; Consultant; or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: infrastructure engineering concepts including networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments; Oracle DBA including Exadata, ZFA, and ZDLRA; administering multi-terabyte databases as a systems/infrastructure administrator; administering Oracle in a Linux environment; Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance; Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Golden Gate replication; and Backup and Recovery using Oracle Recovery manager (RMAN).

Job Location: 4900 Memorial Highway, Tampa, FL 33634. Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the week.
