As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Cloud Financial Management Team, you provide specialized expertise to influence the target state architecture and strategy. . As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.
Job responsibilities
- Partners with Public Cloud platform and line of business teams to drive FinOps across the firm. Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
- Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert
- Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Awareness and practical experience with implementing Resiliency and FinOps practices
- Proven experience in architecting solutions for public cloud
- Demonstrated experience in crafting well-architected designs, application development, testing, resiliency and operational stability to utilize the capabilities of cloud computing for applications
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines
- Extensive practical cloud native experience and tools, such as Terraform
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best technology solutions and approaches to achieve the future state architecture
- Practical cloud native experience
- Advanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Deep understanding of Container / Kubernetes based architectures
- Azure and GCP experience is preferred
