The J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (USWM) business, with ~$600 billion in Assets Under Management and ~5,000 advisors, is dedicated to helping investors achieve their long-term financial goals. The Business & Wealth Strategy Lead will report to the Head of Investments & Advice, partnering with senior members across multiple lines of business to ensure clarity around the priorities of the Wealth Management and Business Banking Partnership. The role requires excellent communication skills, adaptability, and flexibility in constantly changing environments.

As an Executive Director, Strategy Lead Wealth Management and Business Banking Partnership within J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, you will have the opportunity to promote high priority initiatives, enhance and scale existing models, and lead field engagement. You will work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring the needs of businesses and their employees are met through strategic planning and management. Your strong communication and problem-solving skills will be key in this role, as you navigate through complex initiatives and adapt to constantly changing environments.

Job responsibilities

  • Drive high priority initiatives working across multiple stakeholders in Business Banking and Wealth Management
  • Enhance and scale the existing engagement and referral operating model between Business Relationship Managers & Financial Advisors (in-branch and out of branch)
  • Lead field engagement and activation (e.g., form and run structured focus groups, run pilots for new activities in the field, create process for ongoing field guidance, partner with subject matter experts to train on products and solutions)
  • Establish reporting, oversee business case build, establish OKRs, analyze product economics, and compensation changes
  • Partner with key functional stakeholders such as Marketing on campaigns, Product & Technology to advance the product roadmap, Operations to solve client pain points, and Communications to create content and draft messages to field teams
  • Communicate with and create content for senior stakeholders and cross line of business partners
  • Participate in the growth and development of entity solutions inclusive of workplace retirement to fully serve small businesses and provide a bridge to managing wealth for company employees and owners

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services in a sales management capacity within Asset & Wealth Management and Business Banking
  • Experience with connecting clients with the appropriate solution set in a sales capacity
  • Knowledge of retirement product sets and solutions and sales management
  • Execution-oriented, seeking management of a broad book of work with significant business growth impact
  • Strong problem solving skills, specifically around complex initiatives across multiple workstreams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in written form
  • Strong influencing skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders at all levels of the firm
  • Ability to apply quantitative and strategic approaches and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with developing communications and training strategies for a scaled organization
