As a Software Engineer III, Java and React at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Bank Risk Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Develops software components/products using Java based full stack including spring with front end of React & micro services.
- Explore new methodologies and development of new solutions in data quality specific areas.
- Implementation of statistical algorithms in Scala, Java on large data sets
- Work with cloud enablement technologies including AWS services
- Work with different data platforms including on premise Hadoop servers, AWS, Databricks and Kubernetes
- Design, code, test and implement high quality reusable React UI and UI/UX design in React JS

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied Java, J2ee, Front End (React) based technical experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in Java coding
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience in developing Microservices and REST API
- Experience in developing Kubernetes/Containers
- Working experience on AWS cloud with hands-on various AWS services
- Experience in Cloud Computing, Cloud Foundry, Spring boot, Spring cloud
- Knowledge of Big Data technical stack
- Experience working with Relational DB, SQL, good understanding of data integrity constraints
- Knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands-on experience working with Scala and Spark
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
