As an Executive Director in the Consumer & Retail sector, you will leverage your extensive client coverage experience and strong business acumen to develop and market comprehensive business solutions. You will be responsible for nurturing an exceptional network of relationships with corporate and institutional clients, which are central to our Investment Banking franchise. Your role will involve identifying and developing new business opportunities with existing clients in the Consumer & Retail industry, as well as exploring new opportunities with potential clients.
Job Responsibilities
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Collaborating with local and global coverage and product teams to advise clients on integrated financial solutions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and equity and debt capital raises.
- Demonstrating leadership in coordinating deal execution teams, engaging key client stakeholders, fostering deep relationships with the firm's existing clients, and initiating business opportunities with new clients.
- Developing strong professional relationships with key stakeholders across the Japanese and global business, to bring the firm's full capabilities to bear for our Japanese corporate clients.
- Maintaining a strong team culture that promotes team efficiency and effectiveness, supports junior development, and operates with a philosophy of "thinking for the client."
- Committing personally to act with integrity and uphold professional standards consistent with the firm's code of conduct.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum 10 years' experience working in the front office of a top-tier Investment Bank.
- Bachelor's Degree in related disciplines.
- Highly driven, detail-oriented, and diligent with strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
- Well-versed in M&A, ECM, and DCM with a track record of leading the execution of deals.
- Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently and in teams.
- Business level fluency in Japanese and English.
