The Corporate Advisory group is committed to helping the bank's clients achieve their long-term strategic goals through the delivery of holistic advance, M&A and capital markets solutions and targeted capital deployments. Corporate Advisory consolidates M&A structuring, Corporate Finance Advisory ("CFA"), Ratings Advisory, Infrastructure Advisory, Center for Carbon Transition and ESG Solutions into one global organisation.

CFA is a global, multi-disciplinary solutions team specializing in structured M&A and capital markets that is focused on differentiating J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking services. CFA works with firms in all industries and partners across the bank to advise on solutions to problems with multifaceted, complex and unique features. We also provide analysis and recommendations pertaining to capital structure, capital allocation and shareholder distribution policy, including broader market insights.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business. As an Experienced Analyst / Associate in the CFA / M&A Structuring team, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team. You will experience training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's M&A execution and capital raising capabilities while helping build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace. You will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions.

Job responsibilities

  • Work with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams
  • Build and use complex financial models, completing analytical exercises, working with large data sets
  • Support senior bankers in developing structured solutions for complex transactions
  • Develop a subject matter expertise in corporate finance and structuring areas including capital structure, capital allocation, separations/spin-offs
  • Draft presentation materials, management presentations, Board materials, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Keep abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
  • Create thematic client content on key issues and market development

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Prior work experience in an investment banking front office, or related, role
  • Proficient accounting, finance, quantitative, corporate finance and business writing skills
  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
  • Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
  • Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • Problem solver with the desire to create new solutions and products

This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
