Information Specialist - Debt Capital Management

The Centralized Research Group (CRG) is a part of the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Research & Analytics vertical. The team works closely with the firm's global Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking teams; extensively supporting on marketing materials and executions - related to mergers & acquisitions, equity capital raising or debt capital raising.

In addition to this, the team also supports in development of various digital Banking platforms that help in analyzing, centralizing and integrating data that can be further used to better support our clients.

As a Centralized Research Group - Information Specialist - you will be supporting initiatives that look to modernize the way the Debt business utilizes one of our most important assets, data, to stay ahead of the competitive curve. The team closely coordinates amongst firm's CIB Associates & Analysts, Digital Investment Banking team and other internal stakeholders to support on ideation / design requirements on UI/UX, manage digital tool transitions, aid project management and perform testing of platform functionality & data quality.

The team's objectives are aligned with the goal of having intelligent solutions, big data and an effective central hub. These platforms and products are used by bankers to derive critical analytics for marketing and executing capital markets transactions.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute / assist banking platform updates as per requirements of different CIB teams
  • Work collaboratively with the system architects to develop methods for synchronizing data entering company systems from multiple points, and within infrastructure
  • Identify and ensure the resolution of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness, in a cost-effective and timely manner
  • Participate in testing new features for tech team and assist in streamlined migration of data / functionalities from old platforms to new platforms
  • Ensure new systems, applications, and data integration measures adhere to existing data management practices, policies and procedures
  • Day to day coordination with Tech leads and coordinating with CIB Associates & Analysts across regional locations as well as wider CRG team

Essential skills / qualifications

  • Close attention to detail and ability to deliver output of a very high standard
  • Ability to handle end-to-end project from conceptualization to hands-on execution with a proven track record of managing projects to completion while managing multiple deadlines in a dynamic, high-volume, and fast-paced environment
  • Accounting, finance, quantitative background and business writing skills
  • Strong analytical bend of mind and expert handling of excel
  • Team player with the ability to work productively within a group, anticipating questions and concerns from various stakeholders
  • Highly motivated self-starter, and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in any data analysis tools would be an added advantage
