If you are detail-oriented, have great oral and written communication skills and can work in a fast-paced environment, this Vendor Manager position is for you.

As a Valuation Vendor manager you will be responsible for organizing and managing all functions related to supplier fulfillment of appraisal products. Additionally, provides oversight for other suppliers including Collateral Management (CMS). This manager leads teams located at multiple locations and is responsible for ensuring consistency within teams: policies, procedures, key performance metrics etc. This manager recommends changes to business processes including supplier allocations as needed, and serves as the senior escalated contact for supplier and internal stakeholder concerns. This manager contributes to the leadership of Collateral Valuation Group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of individuals at multiple sites
  • Provide outstanding customer service/problem solving as a liaison between suppliers/appraisers and Chase Home Lending.
  • Ensure suppliers/appraiser deliver appraisals on a daily basis that are high quality and on-time
  • Proactively manages to key performance indicators and influence change through communication forums with suppliers/appraisers
  • Track and take the appropriate action on supplier complaints and other issues requiring remediation.
  • Manages an audit-ready, controlled environment that is compliant with all legal, regulatory and Chase policies
  • Regularly reports team results and status on key initiatives to management
  • Drives change within teams and with third party providers of Valuation products
  • Partners with other leaders in Collateral Valuations Group, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Controls, Risk, Sales, Operations Partners, Vendor Management, Third Party Oversight, and Sourcing to produce required results.
  • Conduct RFI's and RFP's to ensure Chase Home Lending is using the highest quality providers.

Required Qualification, Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business degree a plus
  • 3 years leadership experience in mortgage banking
  • 8 years' total experience working with appraisals in the appraisal industry or in the mortgage industry.
  • 3 years of vendor management experience managing direct engagement appraisers and AMCs
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to lead and drive change with focus on process and quality improvement.
  • The ability to perform and multi-task in a fast paced, high production environment
  • Strong understanding of appraisal laws, regulations, GSE, and FHA requirements.
