As an Alarm Monitoring professional within our Global Security Team, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, researching, reviewing, and analyzing alarms, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures. You will be part of a dedicated 24/7/365 team within the GSOC, providing monitoring, escalation, and response functions to Critical Facilities (CFs) in the North America portfolio. Reporting directly to the GSOC Manager, you will have the opportunity to engage with an exciting, dynamic and important portfolio of work. Your responsibilities will include the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, security guard management and alarm response, incident management, corporate building security and customer/visitor/client safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety, executive protection, pre-employment screening, security operations on a global basis, and fraud Investigations. Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring leading-edge security technology platforms to detect alarm activations within agreed response times.
- Reviewing video, access logs, and other electronic records to assess activated alarms and contextualize activation.
- Providing written summaries and responses to alarm activations to allow robust review and audit look-back.
- Following established procedures to generate appropriate responses to alarm activations.
- Liaising with other members of the Global Security team to convey alarm activation details and information.
- Coordinating with Law Enforcement personnel - and other emergency services - to generate a response to alarm activations.
- Summarizing information, trends, and metrics related to alarm activations over days, weeks, and months.
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Confident with Information Technology, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word (or similar applications).
- Ability to learn and confidently use security technology platforms, including alarm monitoring platforms and video review software.
- Good command of written and spoken English, and the ability to type accurately and quickly.
Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but an eagerness to develop, learn and grow is viewed highly favorably.
