As an Analyst/Associate within the Economics, Fixed Income and FX Strategy team, you will play a pivotal role in developing models and analytical frameworks to interpret key facets of financial markets and the economy. Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively meet the needs of clients and internal stakeholders
- Develop models for forecasting and analytics
- Process data and engage in programming tasks
- Write research notes, in-depth reports, and presentations
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, or a STEM discipline, ideally with honours
- Experience in an investment banking and/or markets research environment viewed favourably
- Outstanding communication skills for producing high-quality reports and presentations
- Familiarity with econometric and/or machine learning models
- Proficiency in data science skills, including programming in R, Python, and other languages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in developing analytical frameworks for financial markets viewed favourably
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
