J.P. Morgan Private Bank Finance (Global Private Bank Finance & Business Management) has a new opening for a Financial Associate based in Mumbai, India. This role will be a part of the Banking CFO team which is responsible in part for the analytics, forecasting, and profitability of Banking products namely deposits and loans.

As a member of the Banking Chief Financial Office team, you will influence outcomes for the business and challenge performance. You will be accountable for budgeting and forecasting, core financial discipline, organizational health and strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reporting on and monitoring key metrics, driving data quality initiatives across the product area, and helping define future needs of the product area
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Banking Solutions Leadership through the development and management of annual financial budgets and monthly forecasting processes
  • Analyze financials to understand business drivers and identify opportunities to improve
  • Participate in the month-end close process with the broader Asset & wealth Management finance to research/resolve data issues and lead and execute the production/automation of quarterly regulatory reporting
  • Navigate, interpret and analyze data sets and prepare insightful presentations for business reviews and senior management meetings
  • Execute analytical ad-hoc requests and support various stakeholders and collaborate with functional partners both within AWM and cross-lines of business (Corporate Investment Bank and Commercial Bank)
  • Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of Chartered Accountant (CA) or an Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance is required
  • 3+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx & ThoughtSpot,
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, SQL) preferred and proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management with proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments, often with little lead time or information
