Job Summary:
As a Associate in Subsidiary Banking team, you will virtually manage a portfolio of clients whose decision makers are primarily based outside of EMEA, particularly in the US. You will be introduced to new opportunities via our HQ Relationship partners and will be responsible for providing solutions for new business, cash management opportunities as well as managing existing client relationships. The portfolios encompass a diverse range of industries, including but not limited to Healthcare, Technology, Energy, Entertainment, and Real Estate, and cover geographies such as the US Midwest, Southeast, Northeast, Pacific, as well as Canada and Asia markets. You will serve as the EMEA regional expert, assisting our clients in navigating the UK/EEA country and product landscape to identify products and services that meet their immediate and future needs.

You will collaborate with colleagues to manage the implementation/on-boarding and ramping up of new business mandates from clients and prospects, and with our Client Service team for existing relationships. Additionally, you will work with various professionals across the business and within the broader bank at all levels up to Managing Directors. Job responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients with non-EMEA based, C-Suite and senior level decision makers
- Scope new opportunities, including client research and analysis, client engagement (as required); sizing revenue opportunities, creating pricing pro-formas, obtaining senior manager and Product approvals, and overseeing deals through to completion
- Act as the EMEA sales representative in virtual client meetings
- Review and attest new Know Your Customer (KYC) records and periodic reviews
- Develop and foster strong and trusted internal partnerships including HQ Sales Teams, EMEA Sales Teams, Product Solutions, Client Service, Onboarding, KYC and Operations
- Ensure adherence to cross-border regulatory requirements and other considerations of doing business across different locations
- Maintain accurate tracking and progression of deals through diligent pipeline management and thorough understanding of the portfolio
- Participate in client onboarding discussions to ensure deal completion and ramp up of account usage, in line with original agreements
- Analyse data relevant to the portfolio to identify EMEA trends and opportunities for further discussion with the Relationship Teams
- Partner with Client Service teams and manage the escalation through to remediation of issues impacting the client
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- You demonstrate relevant work experience within a Financial Services environment
- You have a prior experience in Payments, Onboarding/Implementations, Customer Service, KYC, and/or Sales
- You demonstrate knowledge of Payments products (e.g., Cash Management, Transactional FX, Merchant Services, Credit, Trade)
- You have experience in direct client interactions at a senior level, with business-to-business or corporate clients
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills up to executive level; able to effectively convey information and ideas to diverse audiences, both internally and to clients while adapting communication style as required
- You demonstrate professional virtual presence, including strong engagement and presentation skills, clear and appropriate verbal communication and body language, technical proficiency with virtual applications (e.g., Zoom), adaptability, and professional appearance
- You have strong relationship-building skills; able to establish and maintain positive connections with stakeholders, clients, and colleagues. Capable of working independently and collaboratively
- You have exceptional organisational, time and resource management skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
- You have proficiency with MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel; for basic data analysis and portfolio management
- You have positive and pro-active work ethic, desire to learn and aptitude for problem solving
- You demonstrate a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
