General Ledger Project Manager- Senior Associate

You are passionate about Project Management, join a dynamic team where you will drive General Ledger platform initiatives and partner with stakeholders across the Firm.

As a General Ledger Project Manager- senior Associate within the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team, you will manage project activities related to the General Ledger system and collaborate closely with technology partners to promote change initiatives and implementations. Your key responsibility will be to support multiple projects or workstreams within the GL change management team. You will also be involved in leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard, and business process change management events in collaboration with other business partners. Additionally, you will provide centralized program management and business analysis capability, ensure targeted program governance, and consistently apply program management standards including system testing and change management practices.

Job responsibilities:

  • Organize schedule coordinate, and manage project activities and resources, including scorecards and senior management updates
  • Identify issues, risks, and project roadblocks and develop effective risk management approaches and mitigation strategies
  • Work in partnership with team members and/or stakeholders to resolve issues and own the communication and escalation process as required
  • Ensure operational readiness through both rigorous testing and implementation management
  • Drive components of the GL Platform based initiatives, coordinating across technology and the businesses
  • Define and execute project deliverables, including business requirements
  • Perform and support operating model impact assessments and documentation of changes, and drive the implementation communication

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of related professional experience as a Project Manager and / or Business Analyst
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Strong critical and creative thinking skills with ability to synthesize complex data sets to develop business insights and translate to practical solutions
  • Strong partnership skills; experience working with and influencing key stakeholders in drive strategic decisions and preparing succinct presentations
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused individual who is able to work independently
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong documentation skills to support project audit trail

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with project delivery discipline, Agile discipline a plus
  • SAP General Ledger, JIRA, Confluence & SharePoint experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Alteryx & SQL query
