Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area? This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Fund Accounting team, where we provide a range of services to institutional asset managers and owners based around the Asia Pacific region.

As a Fund Accounting Analyst/Associate in the Fund Services Operations team, you will manage the work flow and scheduling of assignments and quality control through the review and approval process of accounting and securities records for each fund administered. You will need to ensure all prescribed controls have been adhered to by the Fund Accountants. Problem investigation and resolution where accounting or securities transactions are seen to break the validation tolerances of the J.P. Morgan systems.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage the work flow, scheduling of assignments and quality control through the review and approval process of accounting and securities records for each fund administered
  • Ensure all prescribed controls have been adhered to by the Fund Accountants
  • Deliver portfolio valuation to clients
  • Provide timely net asset value (NAV) production, accounting validation and management escalation, in the event of issues
  • Be able to identify and lead change with system development and process improvements
  • Liaise with internal stakeholder in regard to setting SLAs, resolving issues, and assist with training and provide support to ensure that they can provide a quality service
  • Escalate any production, client or staff related issue, concern or query promptly to the Senior Manager and to demonstrate risk awareness at all times

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines
  • At least 4 years of fund accounting experience
  • Strong technical skill including accounting principles and theories
  • Thorough understanding of securities types and their accounting treatments
  • Proven ability establish and prepare key metrics to measure workflow capacity, system efficiency and effectiveness of control.
  • Self-starter with ability to learn quickly, possesses strong analytical and problem skills, and attention to detail
  • Control focus with a thorough understanding of operational risk
  • Business process and procedure orientated
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization with ability to work under pressure and multiple tight timeframes.
  • Strong time-management skills and sense of urgency

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred, but not essential
  • Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
