As a Vice President in the Fixed Income Structuring team, you will have the opportunity to price, document, develop, and analyze structured products with a focus on cross asset products on the public side. You will also have the chance to contribute marketing ideas and initiate transactions. This role provides you with the opportunity to collaborate with other teams including sales, trading, and banking, broadening your exposure and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Structuring development, documentation, financial modelling and pricing of structured products for both financial institutional and corporate client, with a focus on cross asset structured products (rates, FX, credit, hybrid etc.) in Greater China region
  • Demonstrates proficiency in derivative and option pricing and understand the risk profile.
  • Be Innovative and follow the market closely to generate product ideas
  • Understand drivers of relevant local markets including but not limited to credit risk, market risk, capital requirements, legal framework, regulatory requirements, de-risk channels and establish a high degree of competence with both internal stakeholders and clients around executing trades;
  • Understand firm's approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follows policies.
  • Build foundation of trust with both internal stakeholders and clients by demonstrating an understanding of their needs, clearly articulating desk ideas, and being responsive.
  • Proficiency in preparing presentation materials, financial models and term sheets. Assist with the post trade process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and to ensure internal controls are followed.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
  • Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills and experience working within an investment bank structuring or relevant desks
  • Familiarity with structured products and understand the key drivers for different client types (banks, insurance companies, corporate, distributors etc) in using the products
  • Demonstrable proficiency with market and product lingo. Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of own product (e.g., documentation, pricing, models, etc).
  • Understands the different types of risk and can discuss in detail ways of managing these risk.
  • Thoroughly understands drivers of relevant markets and can explain and anticipate market movements.
  • Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented.
  • Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management. Self-directed, highly motivated, work well as team player and able to provide guidance to junior members in the team when necessary
  • Fluent written and spoken in both English and Mandarin

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Previous experience or knowledge in insurance companies is a plus
