You will be part of the Legal Entity Controller team responsible for various financial reporting functions for Korea Bank.

As a Finance - Legal Entity Controller (12-month contract) within our Legal Entity Controller team for Korea Bank, you will be responsible for various financial reporting functions. These include monthly Legal Entity Controller attestations, various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, and annual audited financial statements. You will also oversee the integrity of the financial statements and regulatory reporting of the Bank, partnering with the regional controllers to ensure that the Legal Entity Control Standards are applied consistently across the legal entities.

This role is intended to be for an initial term of approximately 12 months only, however, subject to business needs, the contract may be extended.

Job responsibilities

  • Prepare regulatory returns and financial report of the Bank
  • Partner with various teams (product control, business managers and operations etc.) to manage the implementation of new/revised regulatory returns
  • Conduct impact analysis/gap analysis for new regulations and product rollout
  • Participate in/lead projects including the upgrade of local regulatory reporting
  • Improve existing controls

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance, accounting or audit in the financial services industry
  • Accounting and/or Finance background with sound technical and business knowledge
  • Knowledge in regulatory reports
  • Proficiency in English and Korean with strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently with external auditors and regulators
  • Good team player

  • Qualified accountants
