As an Experience Research Associate within the Consumer and Community Banking Risk Technology team, you will play a vital role in understanding the wants, needs, and abilities of our customers and end users. By employing various research methods and leveraging your developing knowledge of user experience design, you will analyze and interpret data to provide valuable insights that inform design decisions and promote improvements in user experiences. Working closely with senior User Experience leads and cross-functional teams, you will support the design and implementation of user-centric research efforts. At the associate level, you will bring your demonstrated proficiency in core experience research skills and continuously develop your expertise in these and other design-focused areas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of research studies to gather insights on customer needs and preferences.
  • Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data, providing actionable recommendations to inform user experience design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document user needs and business objectives, informing research efforts.
  • Review current literature on experience research and draft white papers to inform senior researchers on current trends.
  • Support User Experience leads in the continuous improvement of research methodologies and the development of knowledge in additional User Experience disciplines.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in generative and evaluative user experience research, employing methods such as surveys, interviews, and ethnography.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to derive actionable insights for user experience design.
  • Experience in designing and implementing effective surveys and interviews, ensuring clear, unbiased, and relevant questions.
  • Ability to respond to changing research requirements, adapting to constraints or revisions in research questions.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present research findings clearly and effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new research methods, tools, and industry trends.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple research projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with research and design tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, or similar platforms.
