As a Vice President in Experience Design & Research, you will be a part of an ambitious and friendly team that supports UX practices. You will be responsible for a mixture of both UX design and research for analytics/KPIs and supporting features to support multiple personas. You will plan, design & conduct research projects using a variation of qualitative and quantitative research methods, moderate studies and analyse findings to articulate human-centred problems. You will also be comfortable running workshops and interviews with engineers, PMs all the way up to exec level management. This role provides an opportunity to promote strategy and priorities through both research and data analytics, with clear and actionable recommendations.

Job responsibilities

  • Undertakes both UX design and research for analytics/KPIs and supporting features, to support multiple personas
  • Plans, design & conduct research projects using a variation of qualitative and quantitative research methods, moderate studies and analyse findings to articulate human-centred problems
  • Manages workshops and interviews with engineers, PMs all the way up to exec level management
  • Helps identify and define new personas and enrich existing personas
  • Drives strategy and priorities through both research and data analytics, with clear and actionable recommendations
  • Supports Product teams, UX designers and wider stakeholders in understanding their customer
  • Communicates and articulates the value of UX and the rationale behind your research and design process and recommendations, bringing the team along your journey
  • Liases with multiple stakeholders of varying levels to understand the user requirements and pain points
  • Works with the PM and business analysts to define user stories and product backlogs
  • Makes use of metrics, analytics, user research and various data sources to ensure the team are working from user data, needs and behaviours
  • Contributes to and uses our common design language + design systems from the wider UX team

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's in UX/HCI or related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated UX Research and/or UX Design experience
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research as well as agile / lean methodologies to choose the best methods for planning & execution of user research projects
  • Expert in design tools such as FIGMA, Sketch, Axure or similar
  • Experience creating common user research outputs such as Personas, User Journeys, Analysis Frameworks, Empathy Maps and with tools such as Figma, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail, UserZoom or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities on concurrent, rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Experience of working alongside UX designers, product owners, technology owners and business analysts
  • Adept at presenting findings to team members and stakeholders from multi-disciplinary backgrounds and varying organisational levels
  • Strong communication, project planning and management skills
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding less experienced UX team members in UX practices.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience of working in corporate technical delivery teams a bonus
  • Advanced data visualisation and analytics skills
