Executive Director, Strategic Programs - LATAM Payment Operations

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead strategic programs for our LATAM Payment Operations. This role is key in advancing payment operations across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.

The Executive Director will turn strategic plans into actionable programs, aligning them with our business strategy to achieve financial and operational results.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Lead and manage strategic programs in LATAM Payment Operations, focusing on Cash, Trade, and Regulatory Operations. Align programs with business strategy and outcomes. Develop strategy with Product, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Strategic Execution: Act as a thought leader in LATAM payment operations. Transform objectives into programs by identifying frameworks and resources. Advocate in senior forums and solve program challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across São Paulo and LATAM to ensure alignment. Communicate progress and address challenges. Influence decisions with expertise.
  • Program Monitoring and Governance: Oversee program progress, including budget, timeline, and risk. Implement process improvements and report on status. Manage and escalate risks.
  • Change Management: Follow change management frameworks. Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation. Balance resources and manage cross-dependencies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead program teams from creation to execution. Manage senior managers and provide leadership on complex programs. Create reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • 10+ years in product development, business development, or strategy in financial services.
  • Track record of successfully reshaping complex organizations, including role redefinition, realigning work, assessing financial impacts, setting up new processes, building readiness plans and training, preparing them for the transition and evaluating success
  • Strong understanding of LATAM markets and payment operations, with a focus on Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.
  • Able to lead with confidence and empathy, be considerate of others, being supportive during high pressure situations and celebrating successes
  • Demonstrate communication and diplomacy skills to work cross-organizationally at all levels to influence others, drive results/change and implement projects/processes
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall practices.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Manage diverse stakeholders and priorities.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English language.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Spanish language skills.
  • Expertise in CIB or DPS/Payment Operations.
