Through material investment in data analytics, platform re-engineering, visualization methods and 'skills of the future' training, the traditional 'operating model' is being fundamentally re-written to better service our client's growth requirements.

Job Summary:

As an Executive Director in the Fund Accounting team, you will manage the production and review of the Net Asset Value (NAV) and other activities leading to the correct valuation of our mutual fund clients. We take direct responsibility for the production, review, and delivery of activities related to regulatory requirements and client reporting. You will participate in the production and review from a detailed and quality perspective of both Net Asset Value impacting activities and regulatory reports. You will report to the Managing Director, Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency Operations for our India and the Philippines Corporate centers. The role can be based in Mumbai or Bengaluru and will require you to work in a shift aligned to the requirements of the North American market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively involved in the Change agenda across Operations and Technology driven programs for Fund Accounting involving automation of manual flows and activities to build scalable operating model in close partnership with Product Development, Technology and Change teams.
  • Building a strong Risk aware/ controls focused operations
  • Working closely with business partners and Controls Managers in driving/ implementing an effective, robust proactive and sustainable controls program to proactively manage risks to the business
  • Collaborating cross functional teams to identify and resolve key business issues by working with key partners across Technology, Operations, Finance & Business Management
  • Building a strong and transparent culture for staff
  • Providing leadership by supporting diversity & inclusion agenda, training, performance management, networking, mobility and mentoring

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 15+ years' experience in Fund Account Operations with strong knowledge of Securities Services operations - having a deep understanding of the requirements of the North American Asset Manager industry will be an added advantage
  • 10+ years of strong people leadership experience with ability to lead, motivate team members, inspire direct and indirect reports across multiple location, leadership experience in a global environment dealing with multiple stakeholders by adopting a collaborative approach to drive business results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment with an emphasis on risk mitigation and efficiency
  • Energetic and enthusiastic person with Change mindset - Ability to question the status quo and lead the transformation agenda by automating the manual flows to build scalable operating model
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting & display high levels of integrity; operate based on open and honest interaction and confidence to challenge, and be challenged
  • Previous experience in managing migrations across locations will be invaluable and proven organizational leadership capabilities with a strong emphasis on client satisfaction and an in-depth understanding of the front to back construct of the Operating Model
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusivity of thought, excellence in execution, and an attention to detail across all you do

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Preferably qualified Chartered Accountant / MBA finance
  • Operational subject matter expertise e.g., Fund Accounting, Custody & Reconciliations.
  • Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for operational and project deliverables with a proven track record particularly in the space of managing migrations across locations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills & confidence to challenge status quo

Shift Timings - 8 PM to 5 AM
